Jules A. Del Vecchio’s connection to the Sound Shore area spans nearly eight decades, beginning in 1948. A 1961 graduate of Mamaroneck High School, Del Vecchio went on to earn degrees in Psychology and Sociology from Parsons College, followed by Master’s coursework at Hunter and Lehman Colleges to secure his teaching credentials.

Del Vecchio began his professional life as a dedicated educator in the New York City public school system, teaching in Harlem and the Bronx. He later transitioned to the corporate broadcast and financial sectors, launching a legendary 40-year career with New York Life Insurance Company in 1970. Notably, from 1988 to 1995, Del Vecchio anchored the company’s live, national satellite television network from Studio 51, New York Life’s in-house broadcast studio, becoming the prominent nationwide face of the company’s corporate communications.

As a generous donor and advocate, Del Vecchio views LMC Media as an invaluable civic anchor.
