Become A VolunteerClick Here
You will be trained in TV Studio Directing, Technical Directing, Audio, or Camera. Studio volunteering is being a part of the crew and teamwork. New volunteers start as camera operators and are instructed by the director. These shoots happen on weekdays and weeknights. Studio Orientations take place a half hour before a scheduled shoot, and then new volunteers are asked to stay for the recording and assist.
You will be trained to set up shoots and use our equipment. Field shoots can range from parades, to lectures, to public presentations or art fairs…etc. Any community event is a potential field shoot. After your first shoot assisting someone experienced, you will eventually work the shoots alone. Most shoots happen on the weekend.
You will do the post production work of cutting together clips, adding music and titles for studio shoots or field shoots. Editing is done in the LMC Media studio edit suite weekdays from 12-9pm.
